Cecret Lake

Before moving away from the gorgeous mountains in Utah we went hiking with Jane up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Cecret Lake.

We are really going to miss the mountains.

Eloise and Alice

These two little cousins are only 2 weeks apart in age. It is so fun to watch them as they now interact.
Unfortunately, sometimes their "interacting" isn't so sweet...
retaliation for Alice...
...and they're friends again. It's amazing how fast these little ones can change their moods.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we had a BBQ up Millcreek Canyon with Vicki, Mark, and their little baby Emmett. Eloise loved playing in the pack-n-play and watching the trees.

Surprisingly, Eloise enjoyed the fireworks. She loved the bright lights and I think the noise bothered me more than it did her.

Starting Solids

We recently began feeding Eloise rice cereal. She seems to have a lot of fun in the high chair, but she gets impatient if I don't have her food ready for her right away. I let her try avocado the other day and she spit it out all over me. She was very upset that it wasn't rice cereal. I guess there are some foods for which she will have to acquire a taste

DC

Abby took these two pictures with her new camera. I love them! I think we need to get a new camera.

Sadie and Eloise

I was very impressed with how much energy Abby had being 9 months pregnant. She drove Nick, Eloise, and I around everywhere. We went shopping, walked around Georgetown, and spent an evening in old town Alexandria. We had a wonderful time. It's too bad we missed the arrival of Jack, but we will be able to see him soon since we are moving to Williamsburg.

This was Eloise's first time sitting in a highchair. It was very exciting for her and for us.
