Home from the hospital

It felt so good to come home. Especially since it is impossible to get any sleep at the hospital. Nick was out of school the first week and it was so nice to have his help. The tricycle was a gift from William to Eloise. Of course, she has to bring her "boppy" along for the ride.
I love how cuddly newborns are. He is such a snuggle bug.
Eloise loves sitting on the counter. Here she is chowing down on some hummus. Yummy!

William Craig Etherington

William Craig Etherington was born on September 24th, 2010 just after 5PM. He weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Eloise is a big sister!
Noah and Eloise are checking out Baby William. Our good friends, Megan and Dave, (Noah's parents) were so nice to take care of Eloise for us while we were in the hospital. She had so much fun with them. They took her to the park, to Target, and Dave attempted to take both Eloise and Noah to Barnes and Noble by himself. Eloise even had a sleepover at "Nona's" house.

My labor and delivery with William was quite different from what I experienced with Eloise. I was dilated 4 cm for 2 weeks prior to the delivery. Before they induced me I was already dilated 5-6 cm. I had been having contractions, but they weren't consistent. When I delivered William, I felt everything. I chose to only have half the epidural dose, which had worn off by the time I had William. For now on I'm going with the full dose. Apart from the pain, everything went smoothly. We were so blessed to have a healthy baby boy.
